Success stories

Customers provided permission to share their experiences.

The mock exams were a lot harder than the questions on the clinical exam. All the tips you suggested regarding actually taking the exam were really helpful.

- Danielle

I studied only using High Pass. I spent 2 months working through the content. I wrote down information as it was presented for topics I felt less confident in. The Think Like the Test was the most helpful!!

- Nicole

Ben Caldwell’s course provided all of the necessary content review as well as the critical thinking skills necessary to pass the LMFT clinical exam.So grateful for this course in helping me pass and become a licensed MFT!

- Angelica

I did it! I passed the exam. Using High Pass Education program was the best choice I could have made. It was concise, kept me focused on the material I needed to review, and helped me understand how to take the exam. The mock exams are a great indicator of how prepared you are. I am thrilled with this accomplishment; this is for my mom in heaven, who influenced my life.

Assuming you have completed all other applicable requirements, you become eligible for the California MFT Clinical Exam upon successful completion of the required 3,000 hours of supervised experience.

When you finish your hours, you submit your application to the Board of Behavioral Sciences. They then make a determination of eligibility for the California MFT Clinical Exam.

What should I do if something goes wrong at the exam site?

While it is not common, on rare occasions exams will be impacted by power outages or other issues that result in inadequate or improper test administration. In such instances, it is important to have testing center staff file an Incident Report before you leave the building. This report makes it much more likely that PearsonVUE or the BBS will be able to take steps to rectify the situation.

In most cases, results are provided at the testing facility immediately upon completion of your exam. Occasionally, results are not immediately available, in which case you should receive your results electronically through PSI, typically within 24 hours.

What happens after I pass the exam?

Once you pass the exam, the BBS is automatically notified of your test result (typically within 1-2 business days). You must then go to the Breeze site to upgrade to full licensure.

What happens if I do not pass the exam?

If you do not pass, you must wait at least 120 days prior to your next exam attempt. You will then need to re-register for the exam. This is to ensure that no examinee receives the same version of the test twice.
